Notice to All Athenet Email Customers
Over the past few weeks there have been multiple fake email messages sent to Athenet email customers requesting personal information such as your user name and password.
Please be aware that the staff at NTD will never ask for your personal information via email.
Email messages requesting personal information of any kind are almost always malicious and should be deleted immediately.
You should not reply to any email asking you for your password or other personal information.
Responding to these email messages can allow other people access to your email box and potentially give them access to your other online accounts including banking or financial accounts. Often times hackers will use stolen accounts to send thousands of unsolicited or "spam" emails which is one of the primary sources of email blacklisting.
If you have already replied to an email like this, contact the NTD support staff as soon as possible to have your password changed.
If you have received an email you are unsure about, please contact the NTD support staff before replying to verify that it is a legitimate email.
